My grandfather was one of the first psychologists in Miami, FL. That profession didn’t exist yet that time and place, so he was called a witch doctor by the general public. Clearly lured by the warm reception, my father also became a psychologist. Growing up, I couldn’t believe that my dad was paid to just talk to people, so I became one too!
I love talking to people, but it was while I was completing my dissertation on Facebook's effect on adolescent self-esteem that I discovered my love for technology. Deeply understanding people’s motivations and behaviors, and then turning those insights into products that improve lives energizes me. This fueled my work for Ubisoft, SAP, Google, thredUP, and now Sony PlayStation.
I live in San Francisco with my miniature pinscher Max. Don’t be a stranger - find me (and maybe a couple more Max pics) at any of the links below.
